Build on Knowledge is a small enterprise setup to support the learning of our future industry professionals, focusing on university students studying subjects in the Built Environment.
The model is centred around offering teaching resources and learning developed by industry practices and case studies all linked back to digital tools. This look to build on the great work that our universities are already doing, helping to enhance the ‘Work-Based Learning’ aspect of programmes through deliver by industry professionals and the use of live project data.
The purpose is to try and bridge the gap between academia and industry to better prepare our future graduates for the world of work, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to apply the learning they receive during their studies. This not only prepares students for their career journeys but also reduces the burden on employers resulting in less upfront training and development to get students to an ‘entry level’
We endeavour to not only provided opportunity of better preparing graduates for the world of work, but to also enhance the learning experience of the students by providing unique industry-aligned, digitally-paired educational resources, tools and workshops. Through this application, we believe, the students can enhance their understanding of industry topics via a different experience of learning and exposure to industry related activities.
